Funny Video: Silicon Valley Team Demonstrate Bad Usability

You knew this day would come- I’m sharing a scene from the great show “Silicon Valley”! Just like in real life, we see here the process often used in usability testing, of hiring real-world users who belong to your target audience, in order to find out the ease-of-use, while using a given interface to complete their desired objective, including different mediums like websites, mobile applications, software products, etc.

This short scene shows the usability testing of a new mobile phone – the “Hooli Phone”, and the target group’s not too enthusiastic responses to it. It provides a glimpse to the ups and downs of usability testing, and, in the funniest of ways, shows how even the best startups don’t always get it right.
