The Role of User Experience

This video shows Bill Gribbons, a professor and MS director HFID from Bentley University, speaking about the role of user experience. Stating that user experience used to “focus exclusively on technology, hardware, and software”, he speaks about how the role has shifted significantly, now expanding into different fields. As he mentions in the video, there are students who create systems to allow for e-voting, e-governments etc, showing how the role of user experience is integrating and becoming relevant for a wide array of fields. He emphasizes that “it touches every aspect of the human experience” and that it is still important to remain sensitive to consumers on the receiving end.
