Understanding the UX Process

The User Experience process commonly known as UX process is a customer enhancing and loyalty process that improves usability, pleasure and ease of use which is normally offered in the interaction and relationship between the customer and the product. The User Experience process encompasses the human –computer interaction designs (HCI) and further extends to varied aspects of product services as viewed by the users. Understanding the UX process is very important as it generally serves to offer the best outcome to users. It is an aspect of people’s use and managing of IT systems with the intent to develop the world, it includes the interface, industrial designs, graphics, and the manual and physical interactions.

The Beginning of User Experience Design

This aspect has a history of its own dating back to the 1940s when experts started developing and coming up with ways that are important in creating a closer interaction between computers and humans. It has roots in ergonomics and human factors. It was developed to focus on how humans can create an interaction with the machines they use in their daily activities to produce a better outcome of work relations. In the 1990’s, user experience took a deeper meaning as experts and designers started to view it as a serious aspect of change and development. In recent times, this aspect has majorly played an important role in user centered designs, and human-computer interactions. It is a large field that continues to seek popularity in the view of how people or users should interact with computer programs and work with the best designs to achieve excellence.

The Main Elements of UX Process

The information age has opened more rooms for a lot of scientific discoveries and research. This have led to the development of a digital age, the components of user experience continue to gain popularity as more changes are being developed in the modern times. This field has been well familiarized and it now encompasses broader topics which have been very useful in talk of the user’s emotions, visual designs and UI appeals. Visual design is commonly referred as graphic design or visual communication. It is an important aspect that commonly represents the artistic look and feel of the user interface front end. This concept welcomes graphic treatments that are key elements in visual elements perceived as visual designs. In this design, colors are employed as well as images and symbols to come up with messages to the audience, it is a wide field in visual communication that also borrows ideas from Gestalt psychological view on how to give a cognitive perspective and develop an effective visual communication process.

UX Process in Information Architecture

UX process can greatly be realized in the information architecture, it is therefore important to understand its use and impacts in this field. Information architecture is regarded as the best field and an art and science where information is structured and organized in services and products. It generally supports findability and usability. It further opens doors for more basic concepts such as information. In this context, information is separated from data and knowledge but it is also viewed in a closer parading. Information here has all varieties and shapes: software applications, websites, images and much more. Through information architecture, metadata represents the content objects such as organizations, people and process.

UX Overall Look

Understanding UX process is very important, and knowing how it looks like involves various applied factors such as the client, the project, the budget experience level and the deadlines. If you are a UX designer, it is definitely true that you will have to learn different range of techniques that are available to you then you will be in a position to openly select the techniques that you find interesting and those that are appropriate for your use. A good UX designer is one who will sorely dedicate his time and energy to master these techniques and know how and when to use them perfectly in order to come up with the best design. It’s a skill that calls for total commitment and sacrifice.

Key Phases of UX

Just like in every discipline, UX process has tenets that bind it to the whole idea of its existence. UX has the following key phases that serve to its daily application and use;

• Research- This is an important key phase in UX that is normally known as discovery phase. It is the important step when it comes to projects, research means going out to source for enough supporting material that will be used to develop your ideas and arguments as facts. Complex projects have the best appreciation of research as an important aspect in people’s lives.

• Strategy– everybody has a strategy in life, and even in the UX Process, strategy is viewed as an important part of articulation as it helps in branding and acting as a guiding principle and a better long term vision to the organization. There are strategies in this UX project that will generally shape and mould the goals and outcomes of the projects. It further looks at what the organization is really looking forward to achieve and the priorities that it has at a wider scope of reality.

• Design– Designs are always the common talk when it comes to every computer generated concepts. In the UX process the design phase is normally collaborative as it picks ideas and inputs from different people. It is at the same time interactive and this means that has the ability to cycle back within itself to come up with valid ideas and validate assumptions. The whole idea of the design phase is generally to help in putting better ideas in front of users, get what they give as feedback, and refine the feedback and a repeat of the same. These ideas may have a better meaning when represented by paper prototypes, semi functioning prototypes and interactive wire frames to come up with a well developed low fidelity delay in conversations relating to branding, visual details or graphic identity.

This is the whole aspect that is very important in understanding the UX process, it serves to help users understand the best information and skills that generally work to the advantage of coming up with the best programs and how to manage them, commands and all other important strategies concerning UX designs. bnr14
